Farm Pest Control Services (Surveys, Control Visits & Retainers) — Swindon & Wiltshire
This page explains what you can book, what you’ll receive, and how the process works on working farms.
I specialise in pigeon/woodpigeon, corvids (crows, rooks, jackdaws, magpies) and rats around buildings, yards and feed areas — with foxes and moles covered where they’re causing ongoing risk or damage on rural sites. The service is built around one goal: reduce pest pressure and keep it down, not just “do a visit” and disappear.
Every job starts with a site survey. That’s where I confirm what’s appropriate for your layout, identify the pressure points, and agree a plan that’s safe and realistic. You’ll get clear pricing, a practical plan, and a report with photos and recommendations so the result holds.
To request a survey and quote: email hello@stealth-pestcontrol.co.uk (reply within 24 hours).
Request a Survey & Quote
Email your postcode, site type (farm / estate / yard), the pest issue (pigeons, corvids, rats, foxes, moles), and where activity is worst.
If suitable, I’ll propose survey slots and confirm next steps.

Site Survey & Written Plan (Start Here)
The survey is where you get clarity — what’s causing the problem, what’s realistic, and what will actually reduce repeat pressure on your site.
During the survey I assess:
- where pests are feeding/roosting/entering
- where the damage is highest (barns, feed stores, yards, silage, grain sheds)
- access, livestock/biosecurity considerations, and safety constraints
- what control methods are appropriate, and what prevention steps will make the outcome stick
After the survey you receive:
- Any paperwork needed for a professional job (including RAMS where required)
- A clear written plan and next steps
- A fixed quote before work starts
- Clear expectations on what’s realistic for your site
- Optional follow-up/retainer options if pressure is persistent
Pricing (How Quotes Work)
Every site is different, so I confirm a fixed quote after the survey. Email your postcode and the issue, and I’ll tell you what to expect before we book anything in.
Rat Control for Farm Buildings & Feed Areas

Built for high-risk areas like feed stores, barns, yards and harbourage points.
The focus is:
- reducing activity and contamination risk
- identifying why rats are holding on site
- prevention steps that stop the site “resetting” back to the same problem
If your setup is making control impossible (food access, harbourage, access gaps), I’ll tell you exactly what needs to change.
Pigeon & Woodpigeon Control (Barns, Sheds, Yards)

Designed for farms dealing with persistent fouling, contamination risk and damage around buildings and working areas.
What this usually includes:
- control focused on the highest-pressure locations on your site
- practical steps to reduce return pressure (access points, hygiene, storage habits)
- follow-up options where pressure is ongoing
If you need pigeon control for a warehouse or industrial site, see Warehouse Pigeon Control service.
I’ll be straight about expectations: some sites need a structured approach over time, not a single visit.
Corvid Management (Seasonal + Reactive)

Corvid pressure can rise quickly and is often seasonal. I plan work around:
- where pressure is highest on your site
- what’s safe and realistic for the surrounding land and access
- the legal and practical constraints relevant to the situation
You’ll get a clear plan, and I won’t make vague promises that don’t match reality.
Fox Control (Livestock Risk & Persistent Activity)

Where fox activity is causing ongoing losses or risk (particularly around poultry, lambing fields and small livestock), I’ll start with a site survey to confirm routes, hotspots and what’s realistic for your land and neighbouring access.
The focus is:
- confirming where pressure is coming from and when it’s happening
- agreeing a practical plan that fits your layout and routine
- reducing repeat risk with sensible prevention steps (secure housing, weak points, attractants)
- only proceeding where it’s safe, lawful and appropriate for your site
I’ll be straight about expectations — fox problems are often multi-factor and the best results come from a structured approach, not guesswork.
Mole Control (Pasture & Amenity Ground)

Mole hills can wreck grazing, create trip hazards and make mowing a nightmare. I’ll confirm the extent of activity and agree the right approach for your ground so disruption is reduced and the area is usable again.
The focus is:
- confirming active runs and the true extent of the problem (not just old hills)
- targeting work so ground damage and downtime are minimised
- agreeing follow-up where activity is persistent or spreads across fields
If you’re managing larger areas, I can advise on a sensible monitoring approach so you’re not constantly reacting after the damage is done.
Control Visits (One-Off or Follow-Up)
Control visits are carried out after the survey confirms suitability and safety. Visits can be:
- one-off work for a specific problem
- follow-up work where pressure is persistent
- seasonal management where farms see repeat spikes
Your quote is fixed before the visit so there are no surprises.
Retainer Visits (Monthly / Seasonal)
If you’re fed up of “reacting” every time pressure spikes, a retainer is often the smartest option.
Ideal for:
- ongoing pigeon pressure around buildings
- seasonal corvid issues
- persistent rat activity around feed and storage
Retainers keep pressure down, reduce sudden emergencies, and usually work out cheaper over the year.
What You Receive (Documentation & Proof)
This is where my service differs from “turn up and hope” operators.
You receive:
- survey notes and a practical plan
- fixed quote before work starts
- paperwork as required (including RAMS where relevant)
- a short report with photos and recommendations
- prevention steps to reduce repeat issues

FAQs
Can you quote without visiting?
I can usually give a rough indication from your postcode and the details you send, but I confirm the fixed quote after a site survey so the plan matches your layout and safety constraints.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your postcode, site type (farm/estate/yard), the pest issue (pigeons, corvids, rats, foxes or moles) and where activity is worst (barns, feed stores, yards, silage, grain sheds, paddocks or field edges). If there are public footpaths or close neighbours, mention that too.
Is the survey mandatory?
In most cases, yes. The survey is how I confirm what’s realistic and safe on your land, identify the pressure points, and agree a plan that won’t just “reset” back to the same problem.
Do you provide RAMS and documentation?
Yes. Where relevant, you’ll receive RAMS and a short written summary with photos and recommendations, so the work is accountable and easy to reference later.
Is shooting always the answer?
No. It depends on the site, the pest, the season and what’s safe and lawful. If shooting isn’t appropriate for your layout, I’ll tell you straight and recommend the most practical alternative.
Do you offer one-off visits and ongoing retainers?
Yes. One-off visits can work for isolated issues, but if pressure is persistent or seasonal, a retainer is often the most cost-effective way to keep it under control and prevent repeat problems.
How quickly will I see results?
Some improvements are immediate, but many farm pest issues reduce best over a structured plan across weeks. I’ll set expectations after the survey based on what’s happening on your site.
Can you help with fox problems around poultry or lambing?
Yes, where fox activity is causing ongoing risk or losses. I’ll survey routes and hotspots first and only proceed with an agreed plan where it’s safe, lawful and appropriate for your land.
Do you cover mole control in pasture?
Yes. I’ll confirm active runs (not just old hills), agree the right approach for your ground, and recommend follow-up where activity is persistent or spreads across fields.
What areas do you cover?
Swindon and Wiltshire including Royal Wootton Bassett, Marlborough, Chippenham, Calne, Devizes, Melksham and Corsham. Extended coverage in Gloucestershire, Somerset and Oxfordshire is available by arrangement — email your postcode and I’ll confirm.
